WELCOME
TO STRAIGHT LINE INDUSTRIES
Straight
Line Industries, Inc. is a pavement marking contractor specializing
in the installation of pavement markings on asphalt and concrete
surfaces for highways, parking lots, airports and running tracks.
SLI utilizes a number of different materials for its installations
including traffic paints, epoxy, preformed tapes and raised reflective
markers.
SLI was founded in 1993 as a subcontractor
to heavy highway contractors and pavers. In its earliest days,
SLI distributed and maintained solar powered signs to contractors
and the State of New York. While SLI still distributes and maintains
its sign business, shortly after its inception, SLI joined forces
with two quality, experienced striping companies, namely Ferraro
Industries of Syracuse and Pavemark Striping Systems of Troy.
The inclusion of the experience, equipment and personnel from
both of these companies has developed SLI quickly into a formidable
striping subcontractor in New York State.
SLI is a certified woman and minority owned
business in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. While most
of its work centers in and around the Capital District of New
York State, its territory extends north from Albany to the Canadian
border, west to Syracuse and south to the New York City line.
On occasion SLI crews stripe beyond these imaginary borders, but
most of the time they work within the borders of New York State.
SLI's objective is to do the best quality
installation as safely, quickly and efficiently as possible. Since
most of its work is performed under the auspices of the State
of New York, SLI adheres to the specifications set forth by the
NYS Department of Transportation. The lines installed are a safety
tool for the motoring public. Imagine a road on a moonless, dark
and rainy night without the lines to guide you. Imagine yourself
on a four lane highway without the lane lines to separate the
fast cars from the slow. The importance of SLI's work is essential
to keeping the motoring public on the straight and narrow and
helps get motorists safely to their destinations.
